Canvas Stretching and Framing

We stretch canvases. Depth can be 3/4" or 1 1/2". 

  

Stretched canvases may be displayed UNFRAMED.

  

   

Stretched canvases (or canvases mounted to a foam board) may be framed in a standard CAP FRAME, which is a frame with a rabbet and a lip. 

 

 

 

Stretched canvases may be framed in a FLOAT FRAME, which is a frame without a lip. The canvas "floats" in the frame and there is a gap between the canvas and the frame (typically 1/4" - 1/2"). The canvas may be recessed in the frame or the canvas face may be flush with the face of the frame.
